Work Placement Program
Those who have tried to secure work placement know frustrating it can be. Well luckily for our students we have taken stress out of the process by assisting you in getting work placement. The time you could have spent hassling for practicum places, can now be spent in catching up with your studies in aged care and generally appreciating the aged and their needs. The process is simple:
i. Once you are marked competent in at least 10 of the 14 units, you can apply for work placement by completing the online form or manual one in any of our campuses. In the form you indicate your availability for the aged care practicum and preferred suburb.
ii. Whereas we endeavour to place you in an aged care facility of your choice, we can’t guarantee that this will happen all the time to all the students since availability of space in aged care facilities is also a factor.
iii. Once you submit your form keeping checking which aged care facilities are available for you.
iv. As a tip, please note that aged care facilities prefer students who are flexible and reliable.
v. On average it takes about 2 weeks to secure practicum in an aged facility.
